His imagery must be both personal and political. His vision is redolent with hidden meanings which might easily be misconstrued without a road map. He always makes me think why? Nice how effortlessly you took us into Ballen’s secret room where he creates these fables. My favorite part is “I have always said to people, ‘All things being equal, I could put you in my book.” It sounds like a threat more than a promise. Great interview!
